My biggest priority in life is my happy family of four. Nothing matters more then making sure that they are happy and healthy. Working full time and raising a toddler doesn't leave a lot of free time. Our weekends are now filled with going to the park, the pool or rolling around in the grass in our back yard. Exploring all the many different farmers markets on Saturday morning is how I love to start my weekend.
Travelling
I took a year off of university when I was in my early 20's and headed over to Europe for the first time. I caught the travel bug while there and have done countless trips to many places in the world since then. Having a baby didn't slow me down either. We drove on down to Florida for a 5 week stay while the little man was 8 months old and then flew to Provence France for four weeks when he was 10 months. Having a second child hasn't stopped us. 7 weeks in Florida and 6 weeks in Lisbon, Portugal were in store for us during our second parental leave. Let's not leave out trips to Cuba, Mexico, Huntsville and Ottawa, plus the adventures of camping with young children. While having a baby does change the way you travel, I believe it is not an excuse to stop travelling.
Eating
In late 2012, during a drunken evening with friends I was introduced into the concept of the Paleo diet. When my good friend announced that she was following this diet, I immediately scoffed at it saying "oh that latest diet fad". Somehow through my drunkenness and I was to capture what I was being told. I started the next morning doing research into this new diet. From that day on I have never looked back.
My family are now happier and healthier because we found and follow the paleo lifestyle.
